So I got to looking at it and decided it may be possible to make myself... So there I went. I was quite surprised how easy it was and how well it turned out. A lot like the first picture!
Total cost: wood for frame: $20
platform boards: $50
Screws: $5
paint I had: $0
total: $75!!!
This is the frame I built for support. I made the measurements for a full, but it's big enough for a queen too. |
For the platform I used Pine. I wanted it to be sturdy enough and still inexpensive. The boards are 1x8x8. |
Like the one I saw on Etsy, I wanted it whitewashed. I Love when you can still see the wood grain. |
Instead of buying a white wood stain, I mixed water with white paint I had on hand and used a sponge to apply. |
Finished! I'm so happy with the results and how much money I saved doing it myself! |
Ah Morgan it's so cool. Way to goooo.
